Fabrication partnership / proposed positioning
Fabrication delivered through certified partner shops
Scanning, VDC coordination, and engineering run in house. Fabrication is released to ABSA AQP certified partner shops from the same verified model we coordinate against. One contract, one point of contact, one accountable partner from the first site scan to the installed spool.
How the model works
The verified model is what makes it work
The value in scan-to-fabrication is that the fabrication package comes off verified existing conditions instead of a legacy drawing carrying a “field verify” stamp. Certified partner shops build to that same verified model, so the accuracy carries all the way through to fit-up.
How the partnership works
One contract in front, certified capacity behind
ONSITE3D holds the client relationship and the data. The partner shop holds the certifications and the welding capacity. The client manages neither interface.
ONSITE3D holds the contract
You issue one contract to ONSITE3D. We scope, scan, coordinate, engineer, and manage fabrication release. The partner relationship sits behind us, not in front of you.
One verified data source
The partner shop fabricates from the same coordinated model we scanned and clash-checked. No re-drafting, no translation step, and no second set of assumptions entering the package.
Certification held where the welding happens
Fabrication runs through shops holding ABSA AQP certification across CS, SS, Monel, and Inconel. ONSITE3D carries the APEGA P.Eng stamp on the engineering that feeds them.
ONSITE3D owns the interface
Deviations, RFIs, and changes route through us. Removing that handoff is the entire point of the model, and the client never manages it.
The track record
Delivered under the integrated scan-to-fabrication model.
Division of responsibility
Who does what
Where the line sits between ONSITE3D and the partner shop, and what you are buying from each.
3D laser scanning
ONSITE3D. Engineering-grade existing conditions capture that replaces manual field verification.
VDC coordination
ONSITE3D. Point cloud-to-model registration, clash detection, and deviation reporting before release.
Brownfield engineering and MRO Support
ONSITE3D. CWPs, tie-in packages, and retrofit coordination from verified scan data, APEGA P.Eng stamped.
Fabrication and weld QA
Partner shop. Spools fabricated to verified tolerances under ABSA AQP certification, with first-time fit-up by design.
Virtual assemblies and 4D simulation
ONSITE3D. Digital fit-up and sequencing validation before crews mobilize.
Turnaround and STO support
ONSITE3D, with partner fabrication scheduled into the window. Pre-TA capture, in-TA coordination, and post-TA as-built.
Facility-wide asset programs
ONSITE3D. Recurring scan and digital asset programs under MSA, with consistent workflows across sites.
What this means for you
One relationship, unchanged
One contract, one point of contact, one place the data lives. You issue the contract to ONSITE3D, you deal with one point of contact, and the fabrication package comes off the verified model rather than a legacy drawing.
The welding capacity behind us is certified and scales with the scope. If you are reducing vendor count on brownfield industrial work, ONSITE3D is built for that conversation.
